American pronunciation app for ESL speakers

InPronunci: Accent Training

InPronunci: Accent Training is an American pronunciation app created by Prof. Alex, Ph.D. Accent Coach. It is designed to go beyond traditional pronunciation apps by giving ESL speakers, international professionals, advanced English speakers with a slight accent, and native English speakers who want a more General American pronunciation style a structured American Accent Training Program for improving pronunciation, speaking clarity, listening awareness, and professional communication.

Instead of relying only on random sounds, casual AI conversation, sound descriptions, or pronunciation scores, InPronunci brings Prof. Alex’s teaching method directly into the app through built-in guided instructions. These instructions strengthen cognitive accent training because learners are guided to notice, listen, compare, correct, and retrain American speech patterns with active awareness.

Why InPronunci was created

MyAccentWay provides premium 1-on-1 American accent training with Prof. Alex. InPronunci: Accent Training brings the same teaching philosophy into an app format, giving learners a structured way to practice American pronunciation through technology, visual sound training, AI Accent Coach feedback, and guided speech-pattern practice.

One of the most effective ways to begin speaking English more clearly is to retrain the sound system of American English, not only practice random words or conversations. Many traditional or fun pronunciation apps focus on casual speaking practice, AI conversation, or feedback on isolated sounds that appear randomly during speech. While this can be useful for exposure, it does not always create a complete and organized path for building new speech patterns.

InPronunci was created from a different teaching philosophy. Prof. Alex, Ph.D. Accent Coach, believes that students need a structured, sound-by-sound approach that helps them understand, train, and apply the phonological system of American English. Instead of waiting for improvement to happen naturally through random practice, InPronunci guides learners through American sounds, speech-organ movement, rhythm, stress, intonation, and connected speech in a clear training sequence.

“For the past 20 years, teaching translators, interpreters, ESL teachers, linguists, and English learners from different linguistic backgrounds, I have not seen students develop a high level of spoken fluency by only practicing random sounds that appear along the way. Strong fluency requires systematic training of the sound system.”

English fluency is not only about vocabulary or grammar. It also depends on phonology, the sound system of the language. Learners may understand many words and grammatical patterns, but if they skip the phonological part of English, they may still struggle with clarity, rhythm, confidence, and natural communication.

What makes InPronunci different

Structured American pronunciation training, not random practice

2D Sound Motion Technology

2D Sound Motion Technology is a unique visual sound-simulation system that trains American speech patterns closer to a native level. The technology shows the articulation of each American sound in action and supports the learner with clear voice-over instructions, so students can take full control of sound development and train American sounds closer to the way native speakers produce them.

Interactive 2D Sound Video Simulators

InPronunci Interactive 2D Sound Video Simulators introduce a new level of interactive visual sound-production training for developing accurate, steady, correct, and well-built American sound pronunciation. While some pronunciation apps use mouth diagrams, static articulation pictures, basic animations, or AI pronunciation scores, InPronunci is designed differently.

AI Accent Coach feedback

The AI Accent Coach helps learners notice pronunciation patterns, identify sound mistakes, and receive advanced feedback in a way that reflects Prof. Alex’s private 1-on-1 training method.

Cognitive Accent Training

Before students practice, they use Listen to Pronunci, a built-in guided instruction feature that helps them understand the sound, notice pronunciation differences, and prepare for active retraining.

InPronunci is for serious, goal-oriented learners: ESL speakers, international professionals, advanced speakers who grew up in the U.S. but still want to refine a slight accent, and native English speakers who want to shift from a regional accent, such as a Southern accent, toward a more General American pronunciation style for professional, public-speaking, or media goals.

Interactive visual pronunciation training

Interactive 2D Sound Video Simulators

Interactive 2D Sound Video Simulators make the hidden parts of articulation visible for learners. They help students see how American sounds are produced, understand the movement of the tongue, lips, jaw, airflow, and voice, and develop American sounds closer to the way native speakers produce them.

Research on computer-assisted visual articulation feedback supports the idea that pronunciation learning is multimodal. Learners benefit from both auditory and visual information about how speech is produced.

A review on computer-assisted visual articulation feedback in second-language pronunciation instruction explains that learners use visual information about articulatory movements and speech processes, not only auditory information, when improving pronunciation: Computer-Assisted Visual Articulation Feedback in L2 Pronunciation Instruction: A Review.

InPronunci applies this idea through learner-friendly 2D sound simulations that help students see hidden speech-organ movement and practice American pronunciation with clearer guidance. The goal is not only to visualize a sound, but to help learners develop a clearer and more stable American sound system through guided practice, cognitive accent training, and structured speech-pattern retraining.

Interactive 2D Sound Video Simulators are not the same as simple mouth drawings, pictures of articulation, low-quality animations, or single-movement diagrams used in many pronunciation tools. Each simulator demonstrates the movement of the tongue, lips, jaw, airflow, and voice for a specific American sound.

Every movement is supported by guided voice-over instruction from Prof. Alex’s teaching method, so students do not miss a single element of sound production. They are guided through the articulation process step by step, learning what to see, what to feel, how to move the speech organs, and how to repeat the American sound with more control.

1. Sound Articulation Development

The simulator first guides learners through how the American sound is formed. Students see the sound movement clearly, listen to the guided instruction, and understand what they need to do before they begin active practice.

2. Sound Articulation Training

After the sound is introduced, the same video continues as a training simulator. Learners repeat, mimic, and stabilize the sound through phonetic exercises and sentence practice, helping the new sound become steadier in real speech.

This makes InPronunci different from pronunciation tools that only provide articulation pictures, sound explanations, or basic mouth animations. InPronunci is designed not only to show the sound, but also to guide learners through the process of building the sound into a more stable speaking habit.

AI Accent Coach

Personalized evaluation levels for different speaking goals

InPronunci was designed to support different speaking needs because every learner has a different accent training goal. Unlike many apps that use standard AI feedback, InPronunci provides two evaluation difficulty levels: Intermediate and Advanced. The AI Accent Coach helps learners notice pronunciation patterns, identify sound mistakes, compare their speech with the native-speaker model, and receive feedback in a way that reflects Prof. Alex’s private 1-on-1 training method.

Intermediate

Intermediate is designed for ESL speakers from different language backgrounds who want to improve American pronunciation, listening awareness, speaking clarity, and fluency step by step. It is a strong choice for learners preparing for job interviews, school or university communication, TOEFL-style speaking goals, professional conversations, and everyday English where clearer pronunciation can help them speak with more confidence.

Advanced

Advanced is designed for learners who already speak English well, grew up in the U.S., or want to fine-tune their pronunciation closer to a native-like American accent. InPronunci recommends scheduling an orientation session to understand how to work with the advanced AI Accent Coach features correctly.

Listen to Pronunci

Unique Cognitive Accent Training built into Prof. Alex’s guided instructional method

InPronunci does not only give sound descriptions or random AI feedback. Before students practice, they use a feature called Listen to Pronunci. This feature gives learners Prof. Alex’s guided instructions, helping them understand the sound, notice pronunciation differences, and prepare for active retraining.

Most importantly, these instructions help students start thinking actively about how to practice correctly. This is what many pronunciation apps are missing. Without clear guidance, an app can become more of a fun practice tool than a structured, goal-oriented system that solves the student’s real pronunciation problem.

Prof. Alex’s human-guided instructional method brings the logic of his 1-on-1 accent training into the app. Students are not only told what the sound is. They are guided to understand what to notice, how to compare, how to correct, and how to retrain the speech pattern with awareness.

This is why Cognitive Accent Training in InPronunci is not passive repetition of sounds and sentences. Before students begin practicing and training their speech, Listen to Pronunci gives them clear guidance that helps them understand how to practice the right way. Instead of practicing randomly or using the app only for fun, learners follow a structured process that helps them listen, compare, think, correct, and retrain American speech patterns with active awareness.

American speech-pattern training

More than one word. A complete American speech system.

InPronunci gives learners a well-structured program for retraining American speech patterns, including American sounds, rhythm, stress, intonation, connected speech, and clearer spoken English.

The goal is not only to pronounce one word better or collect linguistic knowledge about how a sound should be produced. The goal is to lead students into actual training and retraining of their speech habits.

Through a sound-by-sound method, learners first develop American sounds more clearly. Then they learn how to place those sounds into connected speech, so they can begin using American pronunciation more effortlessly and effectively in real communication.

This is what makes InPronunci different. The app guides learners in a way that reflects how Prof. Alex leads his private 1-on-1 students: step by step, with structure, awareness, and correction.

American sounds
Rhythm and stress
Connected speech
Intonation and emphasis
Different from traditional apps

Not just scoring. A structured pronunciation program.

Many pronunciation apps help learners practice English sounds, record their voice, and receive AI pronunciation feedback. Some focus on coach videos, mouth diagrams, sound descriptions, short daily lessons, casual AI conversation, or pronunciation scores.

InPronunci: Accent Training is designed differently. It is not only a pronunciation scoring app or a collection of short accent lessons. It is an American pronunciation app built around the InPronunci American Accent Training Program, Prof. Alex’s built-in guided instructions, Interactive 2D Sound Video Simulators, AI Accent Coach feedback, and cognitive accent training.

The main difference is the learning process. Traditional pronunciation apps often explain the sound, show a coach video, give a mouth diagram, or score the learner’s pronunciation. InPronunci goes further by guiding learners to understand, see, listen, compare, correct, and retrain American speech patterns with active awareness.

This is why InPronunci can be one of the best American pronunciation apps for serious, goal-oriented ESL learners. Instead of relying on fun scoring, random sounds, casual practice, or disconnected pronunciation feedback that can leave learners confused, InPronunci gives students more than an app. It gives them a complete accent-training system with advanced features and technology, and the chance to have an accent coach in their pocket, guiding them through American pronunciation practice step by step.

Program structure

How the InPronunci American Accent Training Program is structured

Before you subscribe to a plan, I want you to understand that real speech change does not happen overnight. American pronunciation improvement takes awareness, structure, repetition, and the right training method. That is why I encourage you to first think carefully about what you really want and how you want to sound.

At the end of the day, most learners want the same thing: to sound educated, clear, professional, and accepted in English-speaking environments. My 20+ years of teaching and accent training experience have shown me this again and again. Many students come to pronunciation training saying, “I am tired of repeating myself,” “People do not understand me,” or “I cannot pronounce this word correctly.”

Let’s be honest. In many cases, this is not a grammar problem or a vocabulary problem. It is a pronunciation and speech-pattern problem. When pronunciation changes, the whole language experience can shift for the better. You can communicate more clearly, understand faster speech more easily, connect better with the community, and feel that interaction in English becomes easier and more natural.

The four chapters of the InPronunci Accent Training Program

There are four main chapters in the InPronunci program, and they reflect the foundation of American accent training and pronunciation training in general: Speech Organs, American Consonants Speech Training, American Vowels Speech Training, American Intonation and Emphasis, and a Certificate of Completion.

Chapter I

Learn about your Speech Organs Introduction and accent training commands

The first chapter is Speech Organs Introduction. This chapter is important because students need to understand their speech organs before they can retrain the American sound system. It includes a series of videos that help learners understand the tongue, lips, jaw, airflow, vocal cords, and other speech organs involved in sound production.

One of the most common reasons motivated learners fail in pronunciation training is that they are not trained to control the accuracy of speech-organ movement. The videos show examples of sound production, so students can begin learning how to use Interactive 2D Sound Video Simulators properly. Students learn clear accent training commands, sound positioning, and speech-organ control so they can develop more accurate American sounds.

Students can read more about this foundation in the article Why Speech Organs Education Comes First in American Pronunciation Training.

Chapters II and III

Practicing American sounds: consonants and vowels

When learners begin American sound training in InPronunci, they work through 13 practice sessions for American consonants and 12 practice sessions for American vowels. The consonant sessions follow a sequence of consonant families, where certain sounds share similar articulation patterns. The vowel sessions are organized as paired sounds to make learning more comfortable, structured, and easier to follow.

Your practice starts with consonants because American consonants are usually easier to develop than American vowels. Students need time to adjust to the Interactive 2D Sound Video Simulators, learn how to follow the instructions, and become comfortable with the training process.

The goal is not only to pronounce isolated consonants or vowels correctly. The goal is to help students develop steady American sound habits, improve speech clarity, and speak English more efficiently in real conversations, meetings, interviews, presentations, and daily communication.

Chapter IV

Learn American intonation and emphasis

After students practice American consonants and vowels, they begin learning American Intonation and Emphasis. Throughout the course, guided instructions help learners develop American intonation, connected speech, rhythm, and natural emphasis patterns.

This is one of the main reasons I created Listen to Pronunci. Through 20+ years of teaching, I have learned that students do not truly develop intonation through theory alone. They develop it through listening, imitating, comparing, correcting, and practicing real speech patterns.

The American Intonation and Emphasis chapter includes examples of American intonation patterns, such as the low-fall tone, low-rise tone, and other tone patterns that students begin noticing and practicing throughout the consonant and vowel chapters.

Sound Development

Each practice session begins with Sound Development. In this part of accent training, the Interactive 2D Sound Video Simulator for the American sound is introduced. Students watch the simulator and follow the steps of the accent coach to repeat the sound.

The goal is to mimic the same mouth movement and the same sound quality while repeating after the simulator several times. Students should also begin noticing the difference between their native-language pronunciation pattern and the target American pronunciation pattern. Students can repeat the simulator as many times as they need. The goal is not to rush through the exercise. The goal is to participate actively in simulating the sound, understand the movement, and begin developing more accurate American pronunciation.

How to Practice with InPronunci: Accent Training

InPronunci: Accent Training includes the InPronunci American Accent Training Program, a structured system for improving American pronunciation through speech-organ awareness, sound development, listening, imitation, comparison, correction, and repeated practice.

It is important to understand that pronunciation improvement has a specific linguistic process. Clear American pronunciation does not usually develop from random practice alone. It develops through structured sound training, speech-organ awareness, listening, imitation, comparison, correction, and repeated practice.

Through my 20+ years of teaching, I have met many professionals who sound very American even though they did not grow up in the United States and, in some cases, never traveled here. They developed their pronunciation because they followed a structured program that helped them re-educate and retrain the sound system, intonation patterns, connected speech, and speaking habits. This guide explains how to practice with InPronunci correctly.

How to access InPronunci

There are two ways to use InPronunci. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, or you can use the web version at learn.inpronunci.com.

The web version was created for students who prefer desktop training on a larger screen. The mobile app was created for learners who are busy, moving throughout the day, and still want access to pronunciation training, communication-skill practice, listening development, and American accent training wherever they are.

Before you sign up

On the main page, you will see students who have already practiced with InPronunci and achieved strong pronunciation results. These are real students. Their social media profiles are linked, and you can hear their before-and-after pronunciation transformation.

When you sign up for InPronunci, provide accurate information about yourself. It is especially important to state your native language correctly because InPronunci uses that information to help personalize your training experience based on the language background you bring into American pronunciation practice.

Welcome speech and sound settings

After you sign up, InPronunci welcomes you with a guided welcome speech. If you practice through the mobile app, make sure your phone is not on silent mode. Your phone should be switched to ring mode so you can hear Pronunci’s instructions clearly.

My Course: guided instructions from Prof. Alex

Inside My Course, students will see a blue spinning circle on the top-right side of the platform. This feature is called Pronunci Speaks: Tap to Listen to Instructions. This feature was designed to guide students through the full American accent training program. The instructions are based on how Prof. Alex trains students in real 1-on-1 accent training sessions.

Practice mode and evaluation mode

Each lesson includes Practice Mode and Evaluation and Feedback Mode. After Sound Development, students first enter Practice Mode. The instructions start automatically and explain how to practice phonetic exercises, practice sentences, or paragraph practice. Students should complete Practice Mode multiple times before starting evaluation.

Evaluation and Feedback Mode is locked until Practice Mode is completed. This is important because students should train first before asking the AI Accent Coach to evaluate them.

Evaluation and feedback with AI Accent Coach

After Practice Mode is completed, Evaluation and Feedback Mode unlocks. This is where students meet the AI Accent Coach. Students record a word, sentence, or paragraph. Then they receive a score and a highlighted list of sounds that need improvement.

Under the score section, students see two important options: My Coach Pronunciation and My Pronunci. This section supports cognitive accent training. Students compare their own pronunciation with the coach’s pronunciation and use that comparison to train listening awareness, speech awareness, and correction.

View Feedback

In View Feedback, students receive a detailed analysis of a word, sentence, or paragraph. Sentences and paragraphs are broken down into words or word combinations, with recordings that show how the phrase is actually spoken in connected speech. For example, the phrase “Did you know me?” may be broken down so students hear how “did you” can sound more like “didjya” in natural connected speech, not like separate dictionary-style words.

Identity and confidence

Accent training does not mean losing identity

Many adult learners worry that accent training means losing part of who they are. Sometimes even native speakers say, “I like your accent. Don’t change it. It is part of your identity.” While this may sound supportive, Prof. Alex, Ph.D. Accent Coach, strongly disagrees with the idea that improving pronunciation means losing identity.

Accent training is not about erasing a person’s culture, personality, or background. It is about developing a new communication skill. A person can keep their cultural identity and still learn to speak with clearer, more natural American pronunciation when they choose to.

“You are not losing yourself. You are discovering a more powerful version of yourself.”

InPronunci supports this idea by helping learners build American pronunciation as an additional skill. The goal is not to remove the original self. The goal is to give the speaker more control, more confidence, and more freedom in professional and everyday communication.
